"Reset this Computer" is a feature provided by Windows 11 to help users restore the system to its initial state or resolve serious system issues.
By resetting this computer, you can select the following two main options:
Keep My Files: This option resets system Settings, deletes installed apps and drivers, but keeps your personal files, such as documents, pictures, music, and videos. This applies in cases where there are some software or Settings issues with the system, but you want to keep your personal data.
For example, if your system is running slowly due to incompatible software installed, selecting this option can restore the normal performance of your system while preserving your important files.
Delete Everything: This option completely erases all data on the system disk, including personal files, applications, Settings, and drivers. This is similar to a fresh installation of the system, and is suitable for when you plan to transfer the computer to someone else or when there are serious and difficult problems with the system.
For example, if your computer suffers from a severe virus infection that cannot be removed by conventional methods, select this option to completely remove the potential threat.
It is important to note that before the reset operation, it is recommended that you back up important data, just in case. In addition, the reset process may take some time, depending on your system configuration and the options selected.
