EM05-G Firmware Update Guidelines
Fault manifestation phenomenon:
Insert the SIM card and it shows "No Service".
The SIM card network issue has been ruled out.
The network signal coverage issue has been ruled out.
The compatibility issue between the SIM card and the 4G module has been ruled out.
Prerequisites
Before proceeding with the firmware update, ensure the following tools and conditions are ready:

1. Firmware Update /
1.1 Check COM Port Numbers in Device Manager
In Windows, open Device Manager, expand Ports (COM & LPT), and note the port numbers of Quectel USB AT Port and Quectel USB DM Port.

1.2 Configure QFlash Tool /
Run the QFlash_V8.0 firmware update tool. Select the Quectel USB DM Port number (e.g., COM7) for COM Port, and set Baudrate to 115200.

1.3 Load Firmware Files /
In Load FW Files, navigate to the following path and select firehose to load the firmware file.:
EM05GFAR07A07M1G_30.301.30.301 > Update > firehose > partition_complete_p2K_b128K.mbn


Click Start to begin firmware flashing.

Wait for the firmware flashing to complete. When the PASS message appears, it indicates successful flashing. Close the QFlash tool.

2. Serial AT Debugging Tool (QCOM_V1.6) /
2.1 Open QCOM and Select AT Port /
Double-click QCOM_V1.6.exe to launch the tool. Select the Quectel USB AT Port number (e.g., COM9) for COM Port, and click Open Port.

2.2 Send AT Commands /
In the Input String field, enter the following AT command:
AT+QCFG="USBCFG",0x2C7C,0x30E,1,1,1,1,1,0,0
Click Send Command and verify that the execution is successful (OK).

After successful execution, enter the following AT command:
AT+CFUN=1,1
Click Send Command and verify that the execution is successful (OK).

2.3 Close QCOM Tool /
After confirming that both AT commands have been executed successfully, close the QCOM_V1.6 serial debugging tool.
2.4 Restart and Verify /
Close all windows and restart the computer. After restart, verify whether the issue has been resolved.
